For the first time in his career, Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart thinks he is a part of a team with a clear and identifiable style.
On Sunday, Hart celebrated winning two championships in a row for the first time after assisting Celtic in a 2-0 victory over Hearts.
The 75-cap former England goalkeeper joined at the beginning of Ange Postecoglou's administration, and he claims that the coach's expectations and drive for excellence made him "feel alive."
He described Sunday's events as "special moments." These things cannot be taken for granted.
It's a fantastic club to play for, and winning the championship two years in a row is awesome. The last time we won it down there (in the Premier League with Manchester City), we had a gap, so I've never done that before.
"Since winning the championship, we have gotten better. It's enjoyable to be around since everyone has the mindset that they want to get better.I am aware that nothing in football is actually guaranteed. The cup final is not guaranteed, nor is next year.
We have a crucial game for the football team this weekend, so we have to work extremely hard this week. However, it's crucial to have pleasure in it, both with the team and the supporters.
Hart has played for 10 different clubs, including several on loan while at City, and Postecoglou has left a lasting influence on him. He is currently playing for Celtic.
The 36-year-old stated, "He is top, he is very, really good. He is extremely clear about what he wants, and playing for someone who pushes me means that I am constantly learning new things, which is what excites me the most.I'm an old dog in this game, so the fact that I have to do that while remaining alert, wanting more, and striving for improvement is a wonderful feeling. It gives me a sense of life.
It's nice to be pushed all the time and see results. It's all very well, but there are many managers out there who will push even if the players don't adapt or it doesn't always work. Thanks to the players and staff, we were able to work together and achieve success.
