Man City boss Pep Guardiola makes Erling Haaland feelings clear after Real Madrid draw

Manchester City managed to secure a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final clash on Tuesday night. Despite going behind to a goal from Vinicius Jr., Kevin De Bruyne scored to keep City in the tie ahead of the second leg at the Etihad Stadium. City's star striker Erling Haaland failed to score on the night, but manager Pep Guardiola was pleased with his performance and said that he moved well and had his chances, despite the pockets and distances between the central defender and full-backs being occupied. Guardiola also praised his team's overall performance and called the match a tight game, with both sides having their moments of being better than the other.

City midfielder Rodri echoed Guardiola's sentiments, saying that the effort from the team was incredible and that it was tough to get in against Real Madrid's quality defense. He praised De Bruyne for his crucial goal that gave the team confidence to keep pushing and called the result a good one. Guardiola also recognized the difficulty of playing against a team like Real Madrid, but remained optimistic about the upcoming home leg, saying that it's like a playoff and that they will see what they can do better.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was satisfied with his team's performance and praised Vinicius for his goal,

calling it a fantastic moment. He also acknowledged the difficulties his team faced in the first half but was pleased with their control in the second half. Ancelotti was booked during the match but humorously admitted that he didn't know why and that he thought the yellow card should have gone to a player instead of a manager.

Overall, the first leg was a closely contested match, with both teams having their moments of brilliance. Manchester City will look to build on their away goal advantage in the second leg at home and secure their spot in the Champions League final.
