Ben Davies, a defender for Tottenham, has praised Ryan Mason's contribution to the team.

With Saturday's 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, Mason earned his first triumph as Spurs' second interim manager.

It happened after the 31-year-old modified Antonio Conte's strategies, who had frequently remained with a 3-4-3 system.

Tottenham started the game with a 4-4-2 formation, which helped them keep a clean sheet for the first time in the Premier League since February 26. This gave the team more confidence after suffering humiliating losses to Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Liverpool in the previous month.

It's something that we've all needed for a while and are all quite aware of. We're off to a good start, and hopefully we can continue for the remaining games," Davies said of the Palace shutout.

It's not the easiest circumstance for Ryan to find himself in. It's challenging for him to enter and completely reinvent everything and do it his way since we only have a limited number of games. However, there has been a loud message that we must tighten up without the ball and play as well as we can with it.

Although it is quite simple, that is the method we have been practicing and working. Ryan has given us the confidence that we can accomplish that.

When Spurs attacked last weekend, Davies, who has primarily played left in a back three this season, was asked to go higher up the field.

Pedro Porro, a January addition to the right wing, helped make up for recent defensive miscues at St James' Park and Anfield by setting up Harry Kane for the game-winning goal.

Pedro is still a young player, said Davies. We are aware of the severity and scrutiny of the Premier League; if you make even a small error, the entire world will notice it.Look, we are all aware of his skill as a player. It was evident on the practice field. We'll have a top player on our hands once you fix those flaws, in my opinion. When you're new to the team and the Premier League, there may be a lot of pressure to perform well, especially when it comes to the transfer fee.
