The first leg of Manchester City's semi-final match versus Real Madrid ended in a 1-1 tie, and the teams are now returning to the Etihad Stadium.
After Manchester City rallied to draw the first leg of their semifinal match against Real Madrid, Jack Grealish is optimistic that his team can go to the Champions League final.
Tuesday night at the Bernabeu, City came from behind to draw 1-1 thanks to an equally outstanding opening goal from Real's Vinicius Junior. Kevin De Bruyne scored an incredible equalizer.
The result left the match in a precarious position before the return leg at the Etihad Stadium the following week.
Grealish thinks City's home record gives them the advantage since they want to avenge their loss to Real at the same level last season.
The England midfielder said to BT Sport: "This year, we have a new team with new players.
Since last year, we've learned a great deal. We currently have the ideal mix of experienced players and a few exceptional young players.
"I believe we simply possess talent, and I have never felt more at ease on the field with these players surrounding me.
"At the Etihad, we feel unstoppable within ourselves. It's always challenging to play at a place like this, but we came here to try and win, so it speaks well of our character to go down early.
"In the end, I believe the outcome was just. They had their opportunities, and we did too.
Early on, City had a lot of the play under control, but Real withstood the pressure and stunned them with a beautiful counterattacking goal.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of the City team, hailed his team for their resilience in the face of extreme pressure.
"It was a really tight game," stated Guardiola. Congratulations to the team! The Real Madrid team has a challenging background and a high level of talent.
"We had a great start, but when we got better, they made an amazing transition and scored.
"We scored in the second half when they outperformed us. We're looking forward to it since it's open to Manchester and will be a championship for our people.
