In an interview with ES News, Spence said, "I think that he (Canelo) should stay away from Bivol, and stay away from Beterbiev as well.He also suggested that Canelo should go back to the 168 weight division and do his thing there. Spence thinks that Canelo is pushing things too hard at the 175-pound weight division, and his punching power doesn't affect fighters at this weight class the way it affects smaller weights.

"Any [star] fighter who has a fight coming up soon becomes the face. If Canelo fights, he's the face. If Terence (Crawford) has a fight, he's the house. When I fight, I'm the face.
