In the world of boxing,Errol Spence, the welterweight champion, has shared his thoughts on the recent victory of Saúl "Canelo" Álvarezover John Ryder. According to Spence, Canelo should steer clear of fighters like Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev.
In an interview with ES News, Spence said, "I think that he (Canelo) should stay away from Bivol, and stay away from Beterbiev as well.He also suggested that Canelo should go back to the 168 weight division and do his thing there. Spence thinks that Canelo is pushing things too hard at the 175-pound weight division, and his punching power doesn't affect fighters at this weight class the way it affects smaller weights.

Regarding Canelo's future, Spence thinks a fight with David Benavidez would be interesting. "Canelo is probably more elusive, but that would be a good fight," Spence said. He didn't see Canelo's fight with Ryder, but he liked what he saw in the recap.
The discussion of who is the face of boxing also came up in the interview, with Spence stating that there are many faces of boxing. "Any [star] fighter who has a fight coming up soon becomes the face. If Canelo fights, he's the face. If Terence (Crawford) has a fight, he's the house. When I fight, I'm the face. Any star fighter who has a fight is the face."
