Lionel Messi sets a new record The Saudi Arabia transfer is a 'done deal,' with the PSG superstar likely to finalize the astonishing Al-Hilal transfer.

Lionel Messi's highly anticipated move to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, where he would reunite with Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly finalized. The Argentine superstar has decided not to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), and as a result, he will become a free agent this summer. While rumors have linked Messi with a return to his former club, Barcelona, the financial difficulties at Camp Nou have made such a move challenging.

Another potential destination for Messi was Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, with Inter Miami, co-owned by David Beckham, expressing interest. However, recent reports suggest that a move to America is unlikely.

According to AFP, Messi has reached an agreement to join Al-Hilal in the Middle East. It is speculated that the deal could be worth around Ł400 million ($505 million), making him the highest-paid player in the world and surpassing Ronaldo's earnings. Nevertheless, conflicting reports have emerged regarding Messi's interest in moving to the Middle East. Following a recent trip to Saudi Arabia that resulted in a ban from PSG, the 35-year-old is still contemplating whether facing off against Al-Nassr's superstar, Ronaldo, is the right career move for him.

While AFP claims that a deal has been finalized, GOAL contradicts this, stating that no offer from any club has been accepted by Messi and his representatives. They assert that no decision regarding his future will be made until the end of the 2022-23 season in France. L'Equipe also supports this information, dismissing reports of verbal agreements and signed paperwork as the ongoing saga continues.

Lionel Messi's departure from PSG is imminent as his contract expires, and he prepares to explore new opportunities. While Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia has been heavily linked as his next destination, no official agreement has been reached as conflicting reports continue to circulate. Fans eagerly await the resolution of Messi's future, which will likely be determined after the conclusion of the current season.
