JACK GREALISH GOT CRAMP FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME AGAINST REAL MADRID

For the first time in his career, Jack Grealish encountered an unlikely problem against Real Madrid.



Grealish played the full 90 minutes as Manchester City drew 1-1 with the La Liga giants in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Tuesday.


The Man City star played a part in the team's goal as he teamed up brilliantly with Ilkay Gundogan, who set up Kevin De Bruyne, who hit a low shot into the back of the net to nullify the goal. Vinicius Junior's great opener.


Speaking after the game, Grealish said he enjoyed the duel with Dani Carvajal, who has been criticized by fans for his treatment of the England international.

He also opened up about the texts he received from his mother and revealed that he had cramps in both calves for the first time in his career. "They let us do the first pass a few times and then they put a lot of pressure. The manager said keep the ball. Against Carvajal it was tough," he told BT Sport.

"I'm tired at the end. I've never had a cramp before, but I get cramps in both calves at the end," he said before the camera panned to his leg.


The 27-year-old added:

"We said before the game that these are the nights you play football, these are the nights you dream of.


“It really is like a dream come true.

"This year we have a new team, different players and that was a year ago. One thing we have is the perfect balance between experience and some young players.



"We just have quality. I've never felt confident walking out on the pitch with players around me."


Grealish has featured for the Blues this season with 46 appearances in all competitions this season.


He has become a regular under Pep Guardiola and will likely keep his place in the squad when City take on Real next Wednesday at the Etihad.
