Safa informs SA Sports Minister about 2027 FIFA World Cup 


delegation of the South African Football Association (Safa) led by President Dr Danny Jordaan met with theMinister of Sports, Arts and Culture Zizi Kodwa in Cape Town on Tuesday May 9, 2023.
The Ministry
 of Sports, Arts and Culture hosted a meeting to discuss the budget tax and budget activation in Cape Town on Tuesday with Safa chairman, CEO Linda Zwane, new CEO Lydia Monyepao and NEC member Tankiso Modipa.Minister Kodwa's schedule for the South. Africa Cup of Nations to host the 2027 FIFAWorld Cup. Many people were at the network's meeting to vote for the budget and activate the budget, including former Bafana Bafana captain Lucas Radebe.

 Monyepao said the event was an opportunity to showcase the group's plan to host the world in South Africa in 2027. "The purpose of being here is for us to meet the Minister and explain to him the deadline for the bids for the FIFA World Cup 2027, and May 19, 2023 is the first day as we will hand over the contract. We want to make the Minister know our intention to do this so that Fifa can give us a booking,"the Safa CEO told www.safa.net. FIFA is asking member associations to express their interest in hosting the FIFAWorld Cup by submitting a Bid Agreement on 19 May 2023.

 at the event in Cape Town and Safa officials will also use the opportunity to spread the word of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027.
