Reiss Nelson has turned down Arsenal's latest contract offer amid interest from Premier League clubs, according to reports.

Nelson has been sidelined this season, having difficulty making regular appearances under Mikel Arteta.

Though he produced one of the Gunners' most memorable moments, scoring the winning goal in Arsenal's 3-2 win over Bournemouth in March.

The 23-year-old is yet to start a Premier League game this season, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard all seemingly leading him in order.

However, Arsenal are keen to tie him to a new contract at the Emirates, but it seems Nelson has other ideas. Nelson 'rejected' Arsenal contract

Football Insider claims Nelson has turned down the Gunners' first contract offer.

The England international earns a salary of 15,000 a week in north London, with his contract expiring at the end of June.

But it is believed he wants to be assured of his game time, believing he should be playing more often at this stage of his career.

The Daily Mail reports Nelson turned down a new contract earlier this month, saying there is "growing confidence" that he will leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

Indeed, Brighton are said to be looking for a potential deal for the winger, who could become a free agent this summer. Advertisement

In other news, Saka is reportedly set to sign a new contract with the club, which will make him one of the highest earners in the league.

The Independent says promotional footage has been taken for the announcement, with Saka set to write new terms before the end of the season.

Leicester City created one of the greatest feats in football history when they won the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season.

It comes just a year after avoiding relegation in the Championship, when Claudio Ranieri assembled a group of players like Jaime Vardy, Kasper Schmeichel and N'Golo Kante who have led the team to glory.

Leicester champions only 2 survivors

Following the departures of Schmeichel and Marc Albrighton, Vardy and Daniel Amartey are now the only two champions from the team remaining in the squad.

The strengths of the two sides are quite different, with the current team just one step away from being relegated to the Championship as they sit second, two points away from the safety group with three games remaining.

"I'm very, very, very optimistic, but it's obviously very stressful," Gary Lineker told talkSPORT earlier this month. "I think the score is really 50-50 for Leicester. I think they will need at least four points, but if they get there I don't know."

"They've only won one game since the World Cup and that's worrying. I was in Leicester today and it's a city full of anxiety."

The situation has worsened since then, as Fulham beat Leicester 5-3 on Monday.

"My God! Leicester is falling apart," Lineker wrote on Twitter. The Foxes recently sacked Brendan Rodgers, with whom Leicester won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021, and replaced him with Dean Smith.

They now have a few weeks of anxiety as they aim to avoid being relegated to second place.
