Rumors that Gareth Bale would make a surprise comeback from retirement and join with Wrexham have been dispelled by his agent.

The five-time Champions League champion joining the Welsh minnows in League Two has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks due to the possibility for a stunning transfer.

After Bale and club co-owner Rob McElhenney exchanged pleasantries on social media last month, Wrexham supporters believed the transfer would actually happen.

Before the American proposed that he would try to convince Bale to sign, the two discussed the possibility of playing a game of golf together.

To the dismay of many Wrexham supporters, it appears that the transfer won't take place after the rumors were labeled as "tongue in cheek."

When Sky Sports questioned Bale's agent, Jonathan Barnett, about the veracity of the rumors, he responded, "I don't think so." Although he is gratified by the offers, they are all humorous.

He is currently living a great life, and it is well earned. He has undoubtedly been the greatest British footballer in history.

When questioned about the conversation between Bale and the owners of Wrexham, Barnett responded, "They may have spoken to Gareth, but they haven't actually spoken to me." Gareth, though, has lost interest in playing football.

He had a successful profession and enjoyed himself, but he is currently enjoying a wonderful life. The most crucial aspect is that he is with his family.

He is devoted to spending time with his kids since that is what he wants to do. He'll undoubtedly do other things in the future.

Despite having only joined LAFC a few months earlier, Bale made his retirement from football official at the beginning of the year.

Bale's declaration was not a surprise, according to Barnett, who stated: "We'd been talking about it for a long time." And I believe that for him, the moment was right. He has accomplished what he set out to do.

He achieved his goal of representing Wales at the World Cup, which was the highest level of competition. And I believe he was aware that his body was no longer capable. His physique has given him trouble over the past few years.

Many Wrexham supporters, who had been hoping that the Welshman would join the team, will be devastated by Barnett's remark.

Following an exciting 3-1 victory over Boreham Wood in which they were named National League champions, Wrexham earned promotion to League Two last month.

Thanks to co-owner McElhenney, the players have been flown to Las Vegas for the celebration of a lifetime.

Despite missing out on Bale, the Red Dragons are eager to conduct business this summer and are considering signing Cheltenham Town forward Alfie May, who is currently on fire.
