Gospel artist of the year, Piesie Esther has reacted to reports that Nacee wrote her viral ‘Waye Me Yie’ hit song.
During an appearance on ONUA TV’s ONUA Maakye Show, Piesie Esther explained that Nacee only guided and coached her but he didn’t write the lyrics of her song as reported in the media.
According to Piesie Esther, Nacee is a brilliant sound engineer who’s extremely good at his job and his guidance also played a vital role in the success of her song.
She told the hosts of the show to contact Nacee themselves for further clarification because she knows Nacee will never claim a glory that isn’t his.
Prior to the VGMA awards events, Nacee had opined that Piesie Esther deserved to win artist of year because she has worked hard towards it.
“If Piesie Esther doesn’t win the VGMA Artiste of the Year then she has been robbed and that’s because consider the analysis and look at how long Waye Me Yie has been trending,” said Nacee.
“Since the song was released she is still topping charts and compare it to the other songs and colleagues who are competing with her and ask yourself where are their songs now,” he added.
According to the multi-talented songwriter, artistes like Black Sherif embarking on international concerts don’t qualify him to become the VGMA Artiste of the Year.
