World Cup in 2019 was a huge setback for Colombia

Colombia women's football team is determined to make up for their absence from the 2019 Women's World Cup by performing well in this year's tournament, said midfielder Daniela Montoya. Colombia will be playing in Group H with Germany, South Korea, and Morocco, in their third World Cup appearance. Despite being knocked out in the group stage in 2011 and the round of 16 in 2015, Montoya believes that the team is better prepared this time around and will play an exciting brand of football.

According to Montoya, women's football has been evolving in Colombia, and the team has benefited from having a professional league for the past six years. Previously, as amateur players, they did not have access to the resources and support necessary to prepare themselves mentally and physically for the World Cup. Now, with more training and support, Montoya believes that the team is much better prepared to achieve success in the tournament.

Colombia's women's team is a blend of both youth and experience, having been runners-up at the Women's Copa America last year. Montoya is confident that the team will perform well and make history at the World Cup. She hopes to take things one step at a time, starting with winning their first three matches. The team aims to produce exciting football, including nice plays, fast transitions, a short passing game, and long balls.

Montoya believes that Colombia has already shown what they are capable of in their two previous World Cup appearances. However, she is confident that this year's tournament will be the year that the Colombian national team takes the top spot.

Despite being grouped with some strong teams, Montoya is optimistic that Colombia can compete at a high level and achieve succes.

In conclusion, Montoya and the rest of Colombia's women's team are eager to prove themselves in this year's World Cup. With a more professional league and better resources, they are well-prepared to play their best football and make history. The team is focused on taking things one step at a time and producing exciting football, with the ultimate goal of achieving success in the tournament.
