Jude Bellingham 'has accepted all details of his Real Madrid contract offer'
Jude Bellingham's potential move to Real Madrid seems to be progressing as the Borussia Dortmund midfielder has reportedly accepted "all details" of the offer from the Spanish club. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Madrid was closing in on a deal for the 19-year-old English international, who was previously linked with Liverpool and Manchester City. Madrid emerged as the frontrunners after reaching out to Bellingham's father and holding talks in London.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bellingham accepted Madrid's proposal ten days ago, signaling a step closer to completing the transfer. Romano also mentioned that Bellingham is excited about the project at the Bernabeu, as he prepares to join their ranks as the latest Galactico. Madrid will now focus on finalizing the deal with Dortmund and plan to hold discussions with the German club this month to agree on a transfer fee.
Madrid's chief scout, Juni Calafat, who met with Mark Bellingham in London, envisions Jude as a key figure in the club's new era. The aim is for Bellingham to form a formidable midfield alongside Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga. Additionally, Toni Kroos has extended his contract for another year, and coach Carlo Ancelotti hopes Luka Modric will stay for 12 more months to aid the team's transition.
Despite trailing behind Barcelona in La Liga this season, Madrid still has a chance to reach the Champions League final. They drew 1-1 against Manchester City in the semi-finals and will play the second leg at the Etihad Stadium. Bellingham has been highly regarded as one of the most complete midfielders of his generation, having made 52 appearances for club and country this season, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists.
Former Real Madrid star Steve McManaman, who himself made the move to Los Blancos, believes Bellingham would be treated like a king if he joins the Spanish capital. McManaman expressed Madrid's interest in accumulating young players and mentioned their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe last summer. He emphasized the allure of playing for Real Madrid and the history associated with the club.
However, Bellingham's current manager at Dortmund, Edin Terzic, downplayed the claims of his potential departure, stating that he hasn't heard from the player about being involved with another club. Despite Terzic's statement, the prevailing reports suggest that Bellingham's move to Madrid is indeed progressing and the young midfielder could soon be donning the famous white shirt of Los Blancos.
