The task facing Nottingham Forest at Chelsea on Saturday, according to Steve Cooper, is not made any simpler by the London club's recent troubles.
Despite their terrible away record, Forest will fancy their chances as they go to Stamford Bridge in search of the three points that could all but guarantee their Premier League membership.
At Bournemouth last week, Chelsea broke a nine-game losing streak, but they have lost all five of their home league games since then.
Cooper claims he pays no attention to the difficulties Frank Lampard is facing.
We have to be prepared for Chelsea because they have players all over the field who can make a difference, he added. "We are playing Chelsea away, so that is always going to be a tough game at any time of the season," he said.
"I never consider anything other than the fact that the team we play against is playing at their peak because I always believe you should prepare for that.
That is what we are going to do. We want to go there with the goal of achieving the outcome we actually need and want.
Because there are several strengths among our guys, we must be aware of what it takes from them to succeed.
After Serge Aurier hobbled off in Monday night's victory over Southampton with an injury, Forest will give him every chance to recover.
