Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva believes that Neymar should join Arsenal this summer.

The star of Paris Saint-Germain has been strongly rumoured to leave the club at the end of the season.

With fellow star Lionel Messi rumoured to be going as well amid reports of a £522 million transfer to Saudi Arabia, French powerhouse PSG is eager to reduce their pay bill and get his heavy £44 million-a-season salary off the books.

Neymar is reportedly wanted by Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle.

And the former Gunners player, who is now an important member of the Invincibles, has pleaded with the north London club to sign the 31-year-old because he 'loves' the way he plays. He also said that finding a spot for him would be a "great task" for manager Mikel Arteta.

The last two weeks at PSG have been really unusual for Neymar, he claimed. I object to people going to a player's home to express their disapproval because this is not permitted.

"This could turn into a nightmare because it's risky and unpleasant." I hope neither he nor any other player experience it once more. I don't need to mention Neymar's quality because everyone is aware of it.

I adore the way he plays, and I would do anything to see him play for Arsenal rather than Newcastle. In addition to being a great player, he also has a lot to offer the game of football. He has had several injury issues that have made life difficult for him.

However, he has a lot more to give any football team. How would he integrate? Well, Mikel would be perfect for this job! I don't want to discuss a player who is still under contract with PSG; we must wait and see.

With only 20 Ligue 1 appearances this season due to injuries, Neymar may have played his final match for the club after suffering an ankle injury in March.

'Neymar get lost' has been chanted by PSG supporters outside his home and inside the club's headquarters in an effort to convince him to leave.

According to the Brazilian news outlet UOL, the French giants are so eager to get him off their books that they would be prepared to work out a'significantly reduced' agreement with a club that is interested.

According to reports, the 31-year-old is aware of their choice and is actively seeking a departure to give him a fresh start in the midst of his supporters demanding for him to leave.
