Thomas Partey broke hissilence on leaving Arsenal andJorginho
How Ghanaians reacted toThomas Partey's performance against Chelsea 13 days before the start of the World Cup
Arsenal player Thomas Partey says his rivalry with Jorginho doesn't bother him, he likes it.
Partey said he was happy to see the Italian repeat what he has shown in training and in games. "For me, it's something that happens all the time. I'm always competitive, which is good for me. I am grateful. I am veryhappy for him (Jorginho) because for a few weeks he isthe best in training and in the end you will see that in the game," he told Standard Sports. "I'm very happy about it and I'malso happy that every player is ready to go into it so that no one sleeps. I think it's good and I hope that everyone is in that position ready to enter when they arrive at it. "The goal of the club is to create acompetition that helps the club to develop further, and motivates us to be able to give the best in the game."
Thomas Partey was the star of the season until April when supporters pointed to his inconsistent mistakes and poor performances in games as the main reason why Arsenal drewthree games in a row. As a result, the Ghanaian lost his job with Jorginho who joined Arsenal in the January transfer. Partey started the last two games on the bench playing less than 30 minutes in both games. Arsenal won both games, beating Chelsea and Newcastle, while Jorginho won one of their games at Newcastle.
