Rising Chelsea star Omari Hutchinson sends Chelsea message and vows 'bigger' things to come
Hutchinson joined Chelsea from Arsenal last summer and has played in two senior matches thus far.
Omari Hutchinson, who just completed his debut season with Chelsea, has promised that there would be more to come from him there.
Hutchinson controversially left arch rivals Arsenal last summer for Stamford Bridge, where he saw a stronger path to first team play. During his first year as owner, Todd Boehly has put a lot of emphasis on finding new talent, and Hutchinson was seen as a key coup in this regard.
The 19-year-old is one of the best talents in Premier League 2 and after Arsenal failed to hand him a single senior appearance, made the switch to Chelsea. Hutchinson has been handed two opportunities in the first team across all competitions at the Blues this season, both of which came against Manchester City in January.
While he wasn't really able to showcase the best of his abilities in either match, Hutchinson has still managed to impress for the club's U21s with eight goals and 10 assists in 25 matches. What's more, according to The Athletic back in December, youth coaches at Cobham have even likened him to Chelsea legend Eden Hazard due to a similar dribbling style, ability in front of goal and explosive pace.
Hutchinson will be seeking to make a bigger impression at senior level next season because Chelsea is set to let go of first team wingers Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech this summer. Hutchinson expressed his happiness at the progress he has made since moving across London in a post on his official Twitter account, but he pledged to make "even bigger ones" in the future.
"First year playing for Chelsea. Personally, I've made enormous strides, and still more will follow.
