Most people are tipping Manchester City to finally go all the way and win the Champions League this season, though a soothsaying TikTok star says their campaign is going to end in tears—and has the evidence to prove it!

A football fan, known as @lavezzi1893, has been predicting knockout results with extraordinary accuracy by smashing eggshells together, and according to his crackpot theory, City will lose to Inter Milan in the final.

Ahead of the quarterfinals last month, he gathered a bunch of eggs, each adorned with a badge of one of the teams left in the competition, and filmed himself cracking them together. Whichever egg shell remained intact, that team would win the tie.

He correctly called Real Madrid's win over Chelsea, as well as Man City's win over Bayern Munich, AC Milan's win over Napoli, and Inter Milan's win over Benfica, and his semi-final predictions are on the money too.

He tipped Pep Guardiola's side to meet Inter in the final, which after the two first legs looks like a reasonably safe bet, but City fans will be gutted to learn the Inter egg ended up winning the entire thing.

Will the prediction come true? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

At the end of the day, it's just a bit of fun, but City fans will find the culinary prophecy hard to egg-nore considering the success of trailblazing footy psychics like Paul the octopus, who correctly predicted Spain's road to glory at the 2010 World Cup, and the group of mystic meerkats who did the same for England Women's European Championship triumph last year, among others.

A 1-1 draw at the Bernabeu means City just have to beat Carlo Ancelotti's side on home soil to reach the final, and considering they haven't lost there in the Champions League since 2018, Erling Haaland and Co. must fancy their chances.

But Madrid's remarkable bouncebackability in the competition shouldn't be sniffed at, particularly given what happened when the two sides met at the same stage last season. All in all, next week's second leg should be exciting!
