Recognizing the exceptional achievements of Erling Haaland, the EA Sports Player of the Month award for April has been rightfully awarded to the talented Manchester City striker.

Haaland emerged as the worthy winner of this prestigious accolade, courtesy of his remarkable performances that saw him amass an impressive total of six goals and two assists in just four appearances during the month of April.

These stellar contributions played a crucial role in propelling Manchester City ahead of their title rivals, Arsenal, in an intensely competitive race.

What truly sets Haaland apart is his exceptional consistency, as he managed to find the back of the net in every single match he played.

Notably, his goals proved pivotal in securing a significant victory over Arsenal and a memorable win against Fulham, where he not only equaled the longstanding Premier League record for most goals in a single season but went on to surpass it, leaving a lasting imprint in the history books.

Upon receiving the award, Haaland expressed his happiness at receiving this award for the second time in his debut season.

Speaking to Manchester City's official website, he extended his thanks to all those who voted for him, acknowledging their invaluable support.

Haaland emphasized the crucial juncture of the season they find themselves in and highlighted the importance of their flawless record, winning all their Premier League games throughout April, while also expressing his delight in contributing to the team's success through his remarkable goal-scoring abilities and stressing the need to maintain their relentless pursuit of victory until the very end.

The Norwegian was able to beat Kevin De Bruyne, Eberechi Eze, Alexander Isak, Diogo Jota, Dominic Solanke, Ollie Watkins, and Callum Wilson to win his second player of the month award.

Mourinho repeats the ball boy trick in the Europa League semi-final.

Jose Mourinho famously rewarded a ball boy during his time at Tottenham for his contribution to a goal, and he repeated this tactic in Roma’s Europa League semi-final with Bayer Leverkusen.

Back in 2019, when the Portuguese coach was working in North London, ball boy Callum Hynes rapidly gave the ball to Serge Aurier to help start an attack in a Champions League match against Olympiakos.

The move led to a goal, and Mourinho shook the ball boy’s hand and gave him a hug, praising him when speaking to the media after the match. Hynes was also rewarded with a special visit to the Tottenham training ground, where he met the first-team squad.

As highlighted by fan page Chiamarsi Bomber, Mourinho clearly hasn’t forgotten this incident, and ahead of the kick-off of Roma’s Europa League semi-final first leg with Bayer Leverkusen, he was seen in close conversation with a Giallorossi ball boy.

The Portuguese coach is clearly in his element with the Giallorossi and is only a match away from leading them to their second European final in consecutive seasons.
