Fans on social media have claimed that Manchester City star Phil Foden needs to be removed from Pep Guardiola's hands.

Foden is one of the best talents in English football in recent years.
Since making his debut at the age of 17 in 2017, he has made 210 appearances for Man City, scoring 59 goals.
Although promoted in central midfield, Guardiola often used Foden in wide areas.

Furthermore, he struggled to find a regular starting spot in the coach's 11-man squad. Now, fans have taken to social media to demand that Foden be removed from Guardiola's hands to give him the freedom to develop in the future.
After watching a compilation of the 22-year-old playing as a right winger, one fan said:
"For the future of English football and beautiful games.

"Someone please take this man out of Pep Guardiola's hands, out of the constraints of positional football. Give him his own team and all the freedom the world has. At least his talent is worth it."
Another fan agrees:
"Fine, put it in the middle and build a side around it."
However, some fans defended Guardiola, with one saying:
"He's indebted to the career he's had so far thanks to Pep. And Pep absolutely adores him. A few months on the bench didn't hurt him.

In February, Guardiola described Foden as "our diamond" and backed him to shine for the rest of the season.
City boss says:
“He made an incredible effort, playing with the pain, and got there when he said:
"Pep, I can't [play] anymore", so he has to rest and recuperate.
