Arsenal will be without William Saliba at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of defender William Saliba and fellow defender Oleksandr Zinchenko playing for the remainder of the season, despite earlier reports suggesting that they would be ruled out due to injury. However, Saliba will not be playing in the upcoming match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday and may not play in the next game against Nottingham Forest either.

Saliba has been out of play since March due to a back injury, while Zinchenko was recently taken off the pitch due to a suspected calf issue during Arsenal's 2-0 win against Newcastle United. Arsenal is currently one point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand, and has three matches remaining.

Arteta stated that although he is uncertain whether Saliba and Zinchenko will be able to play, he wants to keep hope alive and provide them with the best possible chance to return to the field. He also emphasized that Arsenal needs to be at their best during their upcoming match against Brighton & Hove Albion and win the game to be closer to the Premier League title.

Despite the fact that Arsenal lost 4-1 to Manchester City on April 26, they have won their subsequent matches against Chelsea and Newcastle. Arteta believes that every win and excellent performance provides hope and enthusiasm for the team.

Arteta praised the efforts of Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and his staff, stating that they have been doing an exceptional job. He believes that Brighton will be tough opponents for Arsenal. In their previous encounter in December, Arsenal beat Brighton 4-2 on the South Coast, having previously lost 3-1 to them in the third round of the League Cup at the Emirates in November.

Arsenal's chances of winning the Premier League title are slim, but Arteta is optimistic and believes that everything is still to play for. He recognizes that winning the upcoming match against Brighton & Hove Albion is crucial and will be a determining factor in the team's aspirations.
