Erik ten Hag has provided an update on Raphael Varane and Marcus Rashford ahead of Wolves' trip to Man United's Premier League.

Varane is back!

Raphael Varane is once again available for Manchester United but Marcus Rashford is doubtful for Wolves' Premier League trip.

Varane has been sidelined for the past four weeks with an ankle injury but the Manchester Evening News have revealed that United are hoping he will return against Wolves.

United manager Erik ten Hag said: "Rapha Varane is back and Rashford is under doubt. “He had an accident, so he injured his leg. It's a big question mark for tomorrow but glad Rapha Varane is back.

"Like I said, (Rashford) is questionable, more than questionable, so a big question mark. We have players who can score goals and now they have a chance to show that.

"Varane has experience, knows how to win and will direct the way to win, lead us."

"Alejandro Garnacho definitely has another week of training, so he's ready. We see that he can bring so much more to the team."

Excluding the international break, United have a free midweek game for the first time since September after a 0-1 defeat to West Ham on Sunday and there will be a seven-day gap between games against Wolves and Bournemouth. United lost both away games against West Ham and Brighton last week and Ten Hag admits he has lacked energy in both of those games. Ten Hag thinks the team is currently under pressure after the first two days of the week off.

“We have a week and we need it to reset, recharge, recharge, recharge,” explained Ten Hag, “because we exhausted it in the previous two games.

"I see a lot of energy, joy on the pitch, we can also work on certain events in detail, so that's good."

Fourth place is United by just one point ahead of Liverpool with one game less in the final week of the season against Chelsea. However, United play two days ahead of Jurgen Klopp's men, who will travel to relegation-threatened Leicester on Monday. "No," Ten Hag replied when asked if United were worried. "We believe in what we're doing, we've had a lot of success, we've won a lot of games with the way we work, the way we work, the way we play, the structure really clear.

"But we had to do them and that was the problem in the last few games. We had to be 100% disciplined in the rules and principles. When we did that, we succeeded. "
