The Premier League features one of the fiercest competitions with more than ten teams fighting for the trophy. The defending champions are of course Manchester City although they are current title contenders to win the trophy again. However, they face pretty good competition from Arsenal, who have not won the trophy for more than ten years and this is probably the first time they have come close to this victory.

However, the writer has skimmed through some profiles to find out some of the players are rewarded, especially the top players every month. To my surprise, I found that Manchester United dominated with Marcus Rashord winning that award more than three times, Mikel Arteta's boys came second with captain and Saka represented while Manchester's scorer City , Ealring Haaland , won this position more than twice can also link up with Arsenal . Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen is one of a number of Danish athletes to receive financial compensation following a lawsuit against the owner of Bet365 Hillside Plc.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Eriksen will receive the highest amount on a list of up to 23 professionals.

“The owner of the online gambling service Bet365 has been ordered by the Danish Maritime and Commercial Court to compensate Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen and 22 other athletes for using their names and photos. on social media without their consent," MEN reported.

“Malta-based Hillside Plc, the owner of the online gambling site, has been ordered to pay 4.7 million Danish kroner (£548.221.10) to 23 athletes, including Simon Kjaer and goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, son of former United player Peter Schmeichel on Monday (May 8).

"The court ruling shows that Eriksen has received the maximum amount of compensation and will receive 1.45 million crowns (£169,094.62)."

For its part, Bet365 argues that the use of names and photos, including Eriksen's, should be considered editorial content.

As such, they do not have to bear the fees. The court disagreed with this and ruled that permission was required and their use constituted marketing activities.

Bet365 insists that what they did did not violate Danish law.

MEN reiterates that they have reached out to Bet365 for comment on the matter.

Eriksen, who joined the Red Devils this summer as a free agent, was recently honored with the Return of the Year award at the 2023 Laureus World Sports Awards.

The 31-year-old received the award for his inspiring return to football following a cardiac arrest he suffered during a Euro 2020 match.
