Ivan Toney has competed against players like Harry Kane and Erling Haaland for the Premier League's Golden Boot.

How much it might cost to sign Ivan Toney this summer has been disclosed by Thomas Frank. Following his great performances for Brentford, the 27-year-old striker has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

Toney, whose contract with the Bees expires in 2025, has made 33 Premier League appearances for Frank's team this season and has directly assisted 24 goals. Numerous prestigious clubs are reportedly interested in signing him thanks to his remarkable performances, which have seen him compete in the golden boot race among players like Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

When asked how much Toney might be worth ahead of Brentford's weekend match against West Ham, Frank compared the England international to Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema. "£100m-plus?," the Bees' head coach remarked. Ivan has accomplished great things here, and there is still more for him to do. I love him.

"I'm really glad he plays for Brentford. Every time they reach a new level, some players press on and keep playing. He performed well in League One, moved on to the Championship, scored 12 goals in his debut season in the Premier League, has 20 goals presently, and hopefully scores more. Where does it stop?

He has excellent potential. Even if he is older than 22, consider some of the world's top scorers, such [Robert] Lewandowski and [Karim] Benzema. They just keep getting better, like wonderful wine.

What would you be willing to pay for a striker that could guarantee you 20 or more goals? And this mid-table club has scored 20 goals. How would he fare in a larger club?

Toney can imitate Didier Drogba's success at Stamford Bridge, Todd Boehly has been told, as Chelsea is in desperate need of a striker. Ivan Toney is Chelsea's Drogba, I'm telling you right now, Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony declared on the "The Hard Truth" podcast last year.

Remember the type of player Drogba was by observing Toney's physicality, line-leading, and ability to give defenders the willies. He was everything a captain and match-winner should be: big goals at big times.

"I don't believe many clubs will have £100 million available to spend in January. If Todd Boehly has any common sense with his people, Chelsea would be the only one. It's hilarious since Graham Potter was present when we attempted to sell Brighton. Barry Fry was tasked with making contact with the owner, but he was away in Australia.

"I can tell he wasn't a happy man because when he returned, he discovered he had missed calls from Baz. At the time, no one had informed him of the missed calls, and I'm sure they felt they had missed out on one. I believe Chelsea could compete with Man City if Ivan Toney joined the squad. Chelsea would win the title in the following two years if Toney were to join the team.
