Marseille manager Igor Tudor has claimed former Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez is second only to Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

The Chilean forward has been in superb form for the Ligue 1 side this season, scoring 17 goals and providing two assists in 40 games. He is one of the main characters of this season's Tudor team. They are third on the table with 70 points after 34 matches.

Speaking of Sanchez's impact, Tudor said (via RMC Sport):

"He's an important player for us," insisted the Olympian coach. There is an OM with and an OM without Alexis Sanchez. He is a player on another level. We can forget that, because he is a very ordinary person, very humble. He doesn't act like a star."

He added:

"After aliens like Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland and Mbappé, he's right behind. He's an irreplaceable player." When he's not there, you can feel him."

Previously, Sanchez has played for European giants such as Barcelona and Arsenal. He was a key player for the Gunners and became a world champion during his time in north London.

The Chilean forward has scored 80 goals and has 45 assists in 166 games for the Gunners. He won two FA Cup titles under Arsene Wenger before joining Manchester United in 2018.

Former Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez once claimed he has the same ability as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

During his time at Arsenal, Alexis Sanchez became one of the best players in the world. He took the Premier League by storm and proved to be a nightmare for defenders.

Sanchez is also a confident person and relies on his abilities. He once claimed that he was one of the best players in the world and could compete with anyone. Sanchez said in 2016 (via Bleacher Report):

"I've reached a level where I can compete with great players. I don't feel inferior to anyone. I compare [my qualities] with Messi and Ronaldo. I have the same abilities as them.

However, Sanchez failed to find a miracle at Manchester United and fell seriously in form. He has only scored 5 goals and has 9 assists in 45 games for the Reds.
