After a 1-1 tie in the first leg, City will play host to the Spanish powerhouses on Wednesday in the hopes of advancing to the final.

Prior to Sunday's trip to Everton, Pep Guardiola maintains that all thoughts of Manchester City's Champions League semifinal match against Real Madrid have been set aside.

After drawing 1-1 in the first leg of their last-four match against the Spanish giants on Tuesday, City will host them next Wednesday in an attempt to advance to the final.

Although they meet the Toffees in a match that is significant for both ends of the table, the Premier League leaders have little time to relax before the game.

At a press conference, Guardiola stated: "My thought is just Everton - no more than that.

"I've been working for the Premier League for 11 months. We have a game on Sunday, so we don't have much time to go to Madrid, but Goodison Park, it's a genuine priority.

Real will have an extra day of relaxation before the second leg because they have a match this weekend on Saturday.

Although Guardiola claims he is past whining about the schedule, he would have loved to play on Saturday as well.

I don't understand it, but I'm not going to fight it any more, he declared.

"I don't know why, but we need to adjust. It is what it is with the schedule.

When Manchester City travels to Merseyside to play Everton on Sunday, Pep Guardiola must make some decisions on the starting lineup.

The Citizens' Champions League semifinal match against Real Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw after the first leg, but they still have Premier League obligations to attend to before the second leg next week.

After passing Arsenal in the fight for the league title, City is currently in first place. However, Everton is facing them, and they recently defeated Brighton 5-1 to move up from the bottom three.

Here is the team Guardiola might select as he changes up his roster.
