Pollster Ben Ephson has predicted a landslide victory for flag bearer John Dramani Mahama in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential election.
Ephson said in an interview on Fiifi Banson TV that anythingbelow 90% would mean thatthe former president did not do well in the race against two other candidates - former finance minister Dr Kwabena Duffuor and former the mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu. "If John Mahama drops below 90%, I will be surprised. Dr. Duffuor is qualified to be a presidential candidate. "Mahama is young and if it fallsbelow 90% I will be surprised," said the veteran journalist. He said Duffuor would have done well if he was the reason why Mahama was performing sub-90%.
He was asked what percentagethe other two contestantswould get, Duffuor would get 6% and Kojo Bonsu 3%. Duffuor left the race

Finally, Dr Duffuor accused the NDC of not being ready to holda meaningless election. "I wantto reiterate my commitment to the party and its foundations. However, my concern that the party is not ready to organizefree and fair elections is clear to all. Participating in this would be like knowingly drinking from a poisoned bowl,” he added.
