Despite a poor debut season in the city, Raheem Sterling is reportedly keen to stay at Chelsea and find his form again.

The Manchester City winner, who was lured away from the team by a five-year £47.5 million deal, was one of the big additions that heralded the beginning of the new era under co-controlling owner Todd Boehly.

But the 28-year-old has struggled to maintain his Premier League-winning form in west London, and when he came on against Bournemouth last week in the 63rd minute, the crowd booed him.

Sterling later assisted Atletico Madrid loanee Joao Felix, who scored the third goal for the Blues in their first victory since defeating Leicester in early March under then-manager Graham Potter.

The player's contribution was only his fourth in all competitions, and in his 35 games, Sterling has only scored seven goals.

Sterling is the second-highest scorer in blue this season because to Chelsea's poor goal-scoring performance, but by his own standards, his performances have been at best erratic.

However, according to talkSPORT, Sterling is dedicated to the organisation and eager to contribute to the team's impending summer renovation.

The team has to cut the fat immediately to secure their sustained presence in the transfer market and improved squad cohesion. The side is bloated with players brought in over the last two transfer windows, during which the owners spent upwards of £600m on new hires.

The Blues are still without a permanent manager after Graham Potter was fired in August, but the organisation is soon to officially name Mauricio Pochettino as the new head coach.

The former manager of Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham, who will have a monumental task ahead of him to restore the fractured and insecure team to the winning ways that have characterised their recent history, is expected to thrill Sterling about the idea of working under him.

With four games remaining, Chelsea, who is now 11th in the Premier League standings, may end up with their worst result since 1993.

The former City forward is just one of many well-known players Pochettino would need to evaluate if he takes over in west London.

On the final day of the current campaign, Felix's loan will expire. Although the player intends to stay, there is anxiety over his inability to play in the Champions League next year, which is all but guaranteed at his parent club.

signing for the club's record Romelu Lukaku, who is now on loan at Inter Milan, is scheduled to return to England at the end of the current campaign, but it is yet unknown whether Pochettino believes he can bring out the best in the player.

After the two inconsistent seasons that followed his spectacular £97.5 million signing, Chelsea would probably not see a positive return on their investment should he or the club decide to arrange his leave.
