NDC PRIMARIES: DELEGATES SIT AND WAIT FOR EC TO START POLLS INABURA-ASEBU-KWAMANKESE

NDC primaries: delegates sit and wait for EC to start polls inAbura-Asebu-Kwamankese 





Delegates sit in the polling booth waiting for the Electoral Commission (EC) to start voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) parliamentary and presidential election. 

At 08:00, GhanaWeb arrived at the polling station and EC officials were seen preparingtheir equipment to start the process. There is heavy security at the site as the polling station is close to the local police station. 

The police, who
 numbered about 20 people, are inspectingand patrolling the site to ensure law and order at the polling site. The supporters of the contestants dressed in their party colors, shouted the names of their favorites to convince the delegates.



A total of
 about 1,423 representatives from 155 polling stations are expected to vote to elect their parliamentarian and president in the upcoming general election in 2024. In the Region, about 31,415 people are expected to vote for the election of parliamentarians and presidents in 23 regions. 

Six of the 23 constituencies ended incontestable but willvote to elect only one presidential candidate. Undisputed areas include; Upper Denkyira East and West, Assin Central, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Agona East and Awutu Senya West. 

Two constituencies are waiting,they are Assin North and Gomoa Central for what the party knows best. Felix Ofosu Kwakye as a candidate for the House of Assembly in the AAK constituency arrived at the venue exactly at 08:52amwhich brought massive support with cheers, chants and shouts of success in the election. not yet started. 

His biggest rival, Nana Ama Klutse, is yet to reach that stage.
