The Deputy Minister of Finance, John Kumah, saidGhana has met all the necessaryconditions to receive a $3 billion bailout from the IMF after the country's lenders gave their financial guarantees.
He said, as reported by asaasenews.com, "This means that all the requirements have now been met."
According to Kumah, "The Paris Club represents many creditors in Ghana, they agreed to form a creditors' committee at the request of Ghana. “If you remember, the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta, went to China and asked the Chinese government to be the chairman of the debt committee, and inthat request, China agreed to cooperate with France and the creditors' committee, this is a clear sign of Ghana's readiness to go to the IMF board now," he added.
