Julian Nagelsmann will not be the next manager of Tottenham

Spurs, who sit sixth in the Premier League, have not had a permanent manager since Antonio Conte was sacked in March.

Nagelsmann, 35, who was sacked by Bundesliga champions Bayern in March, has been linked with the possibility. However, there has been no talk of Spurs not considering him for the job.

Spurs continue to search for a permanent replacement for Conte after manager Cristian Stellini was sacked in April and replaced by Ryan Mason. According to journalist Guillem Balague, Tottenham have approached Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and there arereports linking the Burnley manager and former Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany with the opportunity.

Nagelsmann, who was sacked by Bayern on March 24 after five wins from 10 games, joinedChelsea, who have remainedwithout a permanent manager since the sacking of Graham Potter in April. JulianNagelsmann will not be the next manager of Tottenham
Nagelsmann won the Bundesliga with Bayern in 2021-22
Nagelsmann is known as one of the best managerial abilities of the game, having managedHoffenheim at 28 before joiningRB Leipzig, leading the club to the semi-finals of theChampions League.

He joined Bayern in 2021 and won the league title in his first season and two German Supercups. Former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel replaced Nagelsmann as Bayern manager.

Speaking on Radio 5 Live'sFriday Football Social, former Spurs and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson said: "Tottenhamneed to do something and they need to do it quickly. Why wouldn't they like Nagelsmann? He is one of the most innovative, current and innovative teachers. "If Spurs don't want a manager like that, that worries me. I think they can interview his people and say 'no, don't waste your time.'

Former West Ham and Aston Villa boss Nigel Reo Coker added: "I think Nagelsmann looked at this situation atTottenham and said it's not for me. I'm very good, very focused, I want to be part of that greatness and Spurs are not screaming greatness right now.

"You
have to think about a manager of his caliber, do we even know what's going on with Harry Kane now? For all top teams, we know it's important to have a striker. If Harry Kane misses out, who fills those shoesat Spurs?

"Not sure
why Tottenham won'twant Nagelsmann" - analysis
Simon Stone, BBC Sports

Nagelsmann is often linked tothe Tottenham job, and the rumors about the apparent negotiations are so strong thatthe club thinks they have to do something to fix them or make it look like he lost. Given the turmoil around the club right now, it's another explanationthey want to avoid.

It is not clear why Tottenham would not want Nagelsmann and the answer may only become clear when they name a successor to Antonio Conte. Many believe the 35-year-old was unhappy at being sacked by Bayern Munich and that he hadbuilt a strong career ahead of the season, cementing his status as a game-changing manager.

Chairman Daniel Levy may want to first talk to the head
of the Free Football League and his management team, so that person can say who will follow Conte. On the one hand, more serious people could argue that Tottenham are leaving with their established supporters not wanting to join them.

So,
in the meantime, Ryan Mason continues to workwithout an observerNagelsmann to rely on, not sureof the coach he is trying to find for European football next season.
