"If you remove the church, Nigeria will 'fall'" 


The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has dedicated a new church building in Abuja, named 'House of Jesus', in a ceremony officiatedby the head of the church, Rev.Enoch Adeboye, directed.

The dedication ceremony which took place on Saturday was a grand ceremony attended by thousands of RCCG members and community leaders from across the country. The newly constructed church, located in the Durumi area of ​​Abuja, is a beautiful five-storey buildingthat can accommodate up to three thousand worshipers at a time.

Speaking at the welcomeceremony, the priest in chargeof 'Jesus House' Parish in Abuja, Maj. Gen. Pat Akem-Vingir (rtd), emphasized the importance of the church in the social and economic affairs of Nigeria.


“If you remove the church from Nigeria, the country will collapse. People may deny it, but I say it without shame.

“If there is no church in Nigeria doing what they are doing; serving as light to the world and salt to the earth, the damagewould have been more than we can imagine. “70% of thiscountry is young. You can't let this kind of generation go to waste. The church is where they can find hope, direction and purpose,” he said.


In a short speech during the dedication ceremony, Pastor Adeboye, who was flanked on both sides by his wife Pastor Mrs. Foluke Adeboye and RCCG Continental Overseer, Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, expressed his gratitude to God for the fulfillment of this task. "Wethank God for this great day and for the success of this beautiful building. We pray that this building will be a sign of hope for the bereaved and a place of worship for generations to come," he said. he said. Thededication ceremony included several concerts by the RCCG band, as well as speeches by Mrs. Adeboye, church leadersand other dignitaries.


Among those present were the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (rtd), Pastor Marvel Akpoyibo, said that the new church is an indication that the RCCG is striving for spiritual and physical welfare of the people. . The dedication ceremony was concluded with a prayer by Pastor Adeboye, who prayed for the prosperity and progress of the RCCG, its members and the entire community.

 pray that this church will be a source of blessing to all who enter it and that it will continue to serve as a sign of hope for the afflicted and a place of worship for generations to come. who are coming."
