The Son of the late Nigerian music legend Fela Kuti is going viral for an action he portrayed towards a Nigerian officer of the law. Seun Kuti in a viral video fast circulating online was seen slapping a police officer in uniform at a police checkpoint. While Seun Kuti was angrily insulting and assaulting the officer, the officer stood quietly and couldn’t offer a word, the video was captured by a bystander present at the scene.  The reason for Seun Kuti’s actions was not yet known at the time the video was going viral, most Nigerians backlashed Kuti for his actions and called upon the leaders of the law to arrest Kuti and make him face justice because, to them, it an offense and an insult to assault an officer in uniform.

Seun Kuti who saw the video going viral decided to give users some clarity of what transpired. Taking to his official Instagram story, Kuti revealed that, the officer tried to kill him and his family and he has proof but he won’t chase clout with it and added that the officer has apologized and he has agreed not to press charges, hence online users should do him the favor of not sharing the video so the young man will not lose his job.

“He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologized and | has agreed not to press charges. Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose his job”.

“That proves you have the only thing that should save you in the law court from the punishment slated for Abuse on a uniform officer”.

@BolajiBheejay07:

“All the same I don't support the slap. Forget sey

you pass am…..he dey on uniform…and the officer

was apologetic in that Video”.

@aryomiDJ -

“First you need to find what the policeman did before accusing l don't see any policeman acting calm after being slapped by a civilian, he must be guilty

of something”.

@AimThaMachine •

“Well, he will have to still go to court with his proof as he assaulted a police officer on duty. Even if the Man doesn't want to press charges, the Nigerian Police Force as a whole will do that. And they have bad blood with the Family too”.
