Chelsea caretaker manager Frank Lampard praised Trevoh Chalobah for his performance against Steve Cooper's Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Blues drew 2-2 with Forest at home against London in the league this afternoon.

Raheem Sterling scored both goals for Chelsea.

Chalobah started at right-back for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

And Lampard has been impressed with the 23-year-old Englishman on a salary of £42,000 a week (SalarySport), who can play as a central defender or defensive midfielder. Frank Lampard on Trevoh Chalobah in Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Lampard told Chelsea's official website about Chalobah:

“Trevoh had a very good game.

“The way he plays is amazing when you ask him to do things. He executes them thoroughly, he intervenes urgently and he defends well. Physically, he's great."

Impressive performance

In our opinion, Trevoh Chalobah played well for Chelsea against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The 23-year-old plays at centre-back but he is capable of operating in defence. And this flexibility is very useful for Chelsea.

Chalobah was involved in Sterling's first goal for the Blues as he superbly made a pass before blocking the ex-Manchester City striker's cross.

This youngster made two important passes, has an 83.8% pass accuracy rate, successful headers, makes 125 touches, tries 3 dribbles, makes 2 tackles, 1 interception and 4 clearances, and put 2 passes in the middle.

Jurgen Klopp has given insight into his first conversation with the players ahead of potential Liverpool transfers.

Signing a footballer can be a long and tedious process, with the player's debut often taking place months after first contact.

Klopp has revealed that an important part of this process is talking to the player in question and explaining why it is so important.

“I need to know the player, I need to know,” said Klopp.

“That's why these negotiations are so important. They are because you just know where it is.

“What does he want to achieve? What does he want to achieve? What does he want to do? How is he? "I think you only feel a person when you actually talk to them."

The Liverpool manager added:

“In football, at least for me, it is quite simple to create an 80% similar picture when you just watch them play.

“His technical skills say a lot about his character and things like that – you can see on the pitch [how they] perform at different times, their resilience, dealing with challenges. failure.

“A lot of things you can see without asking him. It's not about what the conversation is about, it's about people.

"It's about the people behind the players, the family, all that."

While it's an important part of the recruitment process, Klopp explains that talking to a transfer target isn't always easy. German says:

“You can't talk [to the players] early. We have to wait for permission and things like that. That is the case.

“Maybe it was always like that, just in Germany [when Klopp went there] nobody asked.

“With a player you can only talk. In Germany, I got to talk to the players pretty early on. I remember, the good old days.

"That's clearly not cool!"

It is an area where Liverpool have been acutely aware of playing by the rules, following the backlash after taking an 'illegal approach' to Virgil Van Dijk in 2017.
