Nigerian chef Hilda Baci is on the verge of entering the Guinness Book of world records. Hilda is challenging to break the longest cook record which stands at 87 hours, 45 minutes 00 seconds, the record is held by Lata Tondon who made this history in 2019 in her hometown in India Rewa. Back is over 2 days in already and Nigerians are cheering for her, giving her the I can do spirit. Baci Hilda who doubles as an actress, Chef, and tv producer started the 4 days marathon to break the record on 11th May and is now on day fast approaching the deadline to break the record.
The event is held in Amore Gardens located in Lekki Lagos showcasing Hilda’s cooking experience with both local and continental spices to help hold the flag of Nigerians on the global stage. The challenge is dubbed cook-a-thon and she has attracted so many sponsors such as gino tomato paste and Mix, Ginomax, and Bama, other sponsors also include Amore Gardens (where the event is taking place), Film House, ORIKI, power oil, AfriGlobal, Uber, Arla foods and more.
Friends and family of the renowned chef, actress, and Tv presenter have been dropping in and out of the location to cheer her up and encourage her to win the battle for them. Popular influencer and Crocs Ambassador Enioluwa is there as he's Mcing and organizing people to pass through and encourage Hilda as she's embarking on this journey that will put their country on the global stage like how their music stars including Davido, wizkid, and Burnaboy are doing.
Music stars like Dremo also passed through and performed his hit single “Kpa” which featured Davido to Hilda Baci and she couldn't hold back her joy as she danced her heart out and continued cooking.
Note; Hilda is said to be given 10 minutes break intervals with doctors present at the location to properly diagnose her from time to time.
