Only a few days precede the second leg of the Champions League semi-final versus Real Madrid before the pivotal match at Goodison Park.
When it comes to complacency, Pep Guardiola is unconcerned about Manchester City's vital match at Everton.
On Sunday, the Premier League's top teams travel to Goodison Park for a game that will be crucial for both teams' standings.
The relegation-threatened Toffees are eager to escape problems, while City need points to fend off the onslaught of title contenders Arsenal.
The location of the game between the two legs of City's finely balanced Champions League semifinal versus Real Madrid complicates matters for City.
After a tiring 1-1 draw on Tuesday at the Bernabeu Stadium, it would be simple for Guardiola's team to focus on Wednesday's return matchup with the Spanish giants rather than Everton.
Guardiola, the manager of City, countered, saying, "The players are modest enough and respect the opponents. They are fully aware of how challenging life is at Everton. They are aware of the goal of their game.
"I don't know what will happen, but I am very certain that they will have amazing focus at Goodison Park.
"The Premier League is a very significant championship. Although I am aware how unique the Champions League is, this will take many months and many challenging matches. We are aware of what a Sean Dyche team entails, so you must train really well.
City will only have two free days before their Champions League match due to their Sunday game, compared to Real, who will have three due to their Saturday game.
Guardiola acknowledges that playing on Saturday would have been preferable, but he maintains that it is not a problem.
It's not even whining about the schedule, he continued. It is an honor.
"I believe that when you are feeling a little tired, the enthusiasm of trying to do it again and trying to win the titles in the end gives you an incredible energy.
"There is pressure and strain. I feel it, and so do we. Although we have three days, it's typical. There is sufficient time to be ready for Real Madrid. We're accustomed to it.
We've had fantastic games before, so this is nothing new. We host the second leg at home, and it just takes a bus an hour to get to Everton.
"It is not as taxing as playing Champions League away then three days later in the south of England. Let's not forget our privilege. We must be prepared to do it since the club takes excellent care of us.
