As the season approaches its final fortnight, Mikel Arteta vows that his Arsenal team will continue to strive for Premier League success.
The Gunners have played one extra game but were only one point behind Manchester City going into the weekend.
On Sunday, Arsenal will host Brighton at the Emirates Stadium in an attempt to reclaim the top spot that they held for the duration of the season.
After a run of three straight draws and a 4-1 beating against City, the title's fate was removed from their control.
Since then, Arsenal has recovered with convincing victories against Chelsea and Newcastle, and Arteta is pressing his players to keep up the good effort until the season is complete.
We will keep digging, he urged, adding, "Dig, dig, dig, dig."
"And perhaps the award is there. Even though we don't know if it's there, we will keep digging to the best of our ability in case it is somewhere we can reach.
"The stakes are high, and we are fired up to win that reward the best way we can.
"To do that, we must win our games, and the first one is against Brighton, who are competing for a very significant prize.
That is what will make it really difficult, according to the speaker.
After City has played relegation-threatened Everton, Arsenal will take the field against the Seagulls.
Before going to Arsenal, Arteta spent six and a half years at Goodison Park. He is now requesting a favor from his old team after they shocked Brighton by defeating them 5-1 last week.
You could see it in the most recent game against Brighton, he continued, "obviously they are playing for their lives right now."
"Sean (Dyche) has rekindled that faith and that unity among the players and the supporters to forge something unique.
"As a die-hard Everton supporter, I genuinely care about their success, and this weekend won't be any different.
They achieved both very good and deservingly better outcomes. The past few months have seen intense competition between them.
