Forest is still three points above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

If they want to follow Raheem Sterling's two goals in the 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest and ultimately end the team's goal-scoring difficulties, Frank Lampard urged his players to be killers in attack.

In the second half against struggling Forest, Chelsea was jeered off after falling behind to Taiwo Awoniyi's header after Edouard Mendy had mishandled a cross upon his return to the game.

Then, in just seven minutes of the second half, Sterling turned the contest around and reminded those same fans of the ability the England forward still possesses to single-handedly turn around a game.

His first goal was the result of hard work by Noni Madueke and Trevoh Chalobah down the right and a lucky deflection off Ryan Yates, who was down on the ground. However, his second goal was an exquisite solo effort in which he found space inside the box and rammed the ball into Keylor Navas' bottom corner.

If Chelsea wants to put this terrible season behind them, Lampard said Sterling's example is one that the entire club will need to follow heading into next season.

The Blues manager said of Raheem: "He's a guy who has the credit in the bank. He's been a regular scorer in the Premier League and for his country.

"Raheem was there to see him score there (the first goal). arriving for a cross, followed by a moment of individual genius that resulted in the (second) goal. I'm thrilled for him. We require it for the top end of the pitch.

"Raheem did it and created it once more. Raheem has demonstrated that he can be a killer at the top of the pitch if you want to win games with 76% of the possession. We don't have enough of it right now.

Because of the tie, Chelsea have yet to record a victory at home since Lampard took over as temporary manager again on April 6. This has caused them to drop back to 12th place as a result of Crystal Palace's victory against Bournemouth.
