Anthony Martial was on hand to open the scoring in Manchester United's 2-0 win over Wolves at Old Trafford, but a goal if his teammates had known he would have been on the scoresheet.
Bruno Fernandes has revealed he knows Anthony Martial will end his unsuccessful streak for Manchester United against Wolves - because of a new squad.
The Frenchman has had an uncomfortable season for the Red Devils this term. Injuries left him with just 13 appearances in all competitions over the course of the season and scored just seven goals ahead of Saturday's clash with Wolves.
Only one of them arrives in the Premier League in 2023. Fernandes is confident he will score against Wolves due to a strange new tradition of getting his hair cut by the club's barber. Speaking after the final whistle, he said:
"I knew he was going to score today because he cut his hair with our hairdresser. Every time he cut his hair with him, he hit his goal.
"So I'm going to call him [barber] all the time to go get his hair cut the day before the game because we need this Anthony. We need Anthony, the scorer, the one who brings it to us. Lots of quality shots and lots of space for others.
"So I'm really pleased with his goal and would love to see [Alejandro] Garnacho come back and score his goal as well."

Anthony Martial celebrates his first game against Wolves
Martial's goal certainly helped the Red Devils find a winning streak after consecutive defeats against Brighton and West Ham. The victory puts them in 4th place and 4 points ahead of the nearest opponent, Liverpool.
Fernandes was full of praise for his teammates and the way they conducted the game against Wolves at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese player added:
“It was a must-win because we knew we needed the points to get to the position we wanted to be in the top four. We did a good job and that's why we got it. 3 points.
"They [Wolves] are a really smart team, they defend very well. They are compact, it is difficult to cross their lines. They have quality on the ball.
“They have fast players up front and they are really good technically so we have to be aware of counter-attacks, we have to be aware when they have the ball, we have to put the right pressure. up them. So I think we did a great job, [it was] a professional performance and that's why we got the points.
Fernandes will certainly hope Martial will maintain his scoring habit and the Reds will continue to win at the end of the campaign. They finished the Premier League season against Bournemouth, Chelsea and Fulham before facing City in the FA Cup final.
