KILMARNOCK SHOULD CONTINUE TO TAKE USE OF HOME COMFORTS, ACCORDING TO DEREK MCINNES.

The manager of Kilmarnock, Derek McInnes, thinks his team is prepared to focus on keeping their Premiership status.

Kilmarnock's 2-0 victory over Livingston on Saturday at Rugby Park propelled them out of the relegation zone and preserved their outstanding home form.

They have played at home for 29 of their 34 points so far this season. Their fate is entirely in their own hands because they have two of their three remaining games at Rugby Park, beginning next Saturday against St Johnstone.

The assurance we experience at home is evident, according to McInnes. We now have to concentrate on the upcoming two home games after defeating every side in the league this season at Rugby Park, with the exception of the Old Firm. We prefer to play games to manipulate the circumstance.

After a tense first half, Kyle Vassell gave Kilmarnock the lead with a goal in the 48th minute, and Danny Armstrong's penalty put an end to the game.

We'll be alright, said McInnes, "if I get a 90-minute performance like the second half against Livingston." "I'm rather certain about that. However, a first-half effort lasting just 90 minutes won't enough.

We rushed everything in the first half because we were overly energized. There was no way to get to halftime fast enough.

"We still had the best chance in the first half, so I didn't believe we were horrible. However, there were shoddy clearances and questionable judgments, making us appear impatient. The players deserve all the credit, and we had a wonderful discussion at halftime with no yelling or screaming, just a reminder that we are better than we were displaying. They dealt with it in the second half because they understood how much was at stake. It's crucial that we consider this in the games that are still left because I'm confident they will deal with it moving forward.

After Livingston suffered their fifth loss in the previous six games, which saw them drop to ninth position in the standings, manager David Martindale challenged his team to get back to the basics.
