They have played side by side for club and country - but former Liverpool and Spain team-mates Fernando Torres and Alvaro Arbeloa were at odds when they were together on the touchline.

Fernando Torres and Alvaro Arbeloa were injured on the touchline
Fernando Torres was sent off after he appeared to threaten to 'blow the head' of former Liverpool and Spain team-mate Alvaro Arbeloa.
Torres and Arbeloa reunited on the touchline this afternoon (May 14) as coaches of the two U19 teams Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Tensions are high between rivals in the same city in the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League.
And they flooded when Torres' side refused to stop the game when Real Yeray striker was injured before scoring. Arbeloa was furious at showing a lack of sportsmanship. He walked over to Torres, who, according to Relevo, told him "I'll blow your head off". Arbeloa replied:
"Start whenever you want."
Torres shoved his former Red Devils colleague and then received a red card from the umpire, who only showed Arbeloa a yellow card for sticking.

Things did not improve for Torres as the fiery battle ended in a 2-2 draw, helping Real advance to the semi-finals after winning 2-0 in the first leg. A total of nine yellow cards were shown, six of which were awarded to Atletico.
Torres and Arbeloa have played together 94 times for club and country but no love seems to be lost between them as they are on opposite sides in the Madrid derby. Torres, who has built a lot of muscle from his playing days, is taking on his first coaching role after retiring in 2019. He led Atletico's youth team in July 2021.
Arbeloa, meanwhile, has grown up at his former club Real, where he won every top honor as a player after leaving Anfield. He was first appointed head coach of their U14 team in September 2020, after quitting last year.
