After promising so much, Arsenal's season is on the verge of ending in disappointment after a 3-0 humbling at home at the hands of Brighton all but handed the title to Manchester City.
A rampant Seagulls side mounted a second half raid at the Emirates, scoring three goals to come away with all three points against a disappointing Arsenal. City are now effectively one win away from being crowned Champions.
The game began somewhat haphazardly with several bumps and bruises, including Martin Odegaard taking a ball to the face which left him looking shook and Gabriel Martinelli having to come off injured within the first half-hour. Despite the 0-0 score at the break, both teams were up for this and intent on making things happen.
The breakthrough came for the visitors in the 51st minute when Julio Pervis Estupinan's bouncing second-chance cross fell kindly to an unmarked Julio Enciso who had the simplest of headers from close range.

In the final 10 minutes it all fell apart even more for Arsenal as the visitors made sure of their victory. Slack play by Leandro Trossard led to a great chance for Deniz Undav who lifted the ball over Aaron Ramsdale.
The, right at the death, Undav had a shot from distance parried by Ramsdale but it fell right into the path of Estupinan who fired home confidently to add his name to the scoresheet and an exclamation point to the result.
The Sussex side led by head coach Roberto De Zerbi are now making a real push for the European places. Having already gained plaudits for their style, they are now putting together some very impressive results.
Arsenal, meanwhile, look set to watch it all slip away from them. Failure to beat Nottingham Forest next Saturday will all but confirm Man City as champions, but it is really just a matter of time now, barring an unexpected implosion from the Citizens.
