Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Basi is the talk of the town currently after breaking the Guinness world record for the longest cooking time in history. The previous record was held by an Indian chef identified as Lata Tondon who cooked nonstop for 87 hours 45 minutes and 00 secs. Nigerian chef Hilda Basi a few weeks ago announced that she was going to try to break the record of the longest cooking time by a human, Hilda started cooking on the 11th of May and she cooked for four days non-stop. According to sources, she has 10 minutes break every 6 hours and 30 minutes break at night.
During the period of her cooking, Nigerian musicians, actors, and actress influencers and fans trooped to the location to cheer her up and to keep her head up till she breaks that record. Brand influencer Enioluwa was there cheering her up like never before, musician Dremo also passed through to perform and cheer her up, and Nigerian actor and hype man Charles Okocha also stormed the location along with his hypemen and cheered Hilda up. After the outbreak of the news of Hilda trying to break and set a new record for the longest cooking time went viral, pictures of her began circulating and it sparked a whole lot of conversations. In most of her pictures, she appeared to be in heavyweight while her current pictures of her cooking shows she lost some weight.
With people and fans asking questions about her weight loss, media outlets revealed that Hilda underwent serious training and weight loss to help her to stand on her feet and cook for hours without getting too much exhaustion. It was also gathered that Hilda have been planning on this record-breaking journey for over two years and finally announced the date after everything was put in place. A medical van, doctors, and a psychologist are at the location to check and diagnose her from time to time.
As it stands now, Hilda Baci, has broken the record for the longest cooking record and has cooked for over 89 hours, and counting at the writing of this article, she is now setting her record. Online users cant keep calm and are celebrating the new record holder. Nigerian musician Burnaboy joined well-wishers and wised Hilda Baci well and added that he is rooting for her to set a higher record.
