Some people think that the Premier League is turning into a one-horse race like the Bundesliga or La Liga.

Following Manchester City's 3-0 win over Everton yesterday at Goodison Park, Pep Guardiola's side are edging closer to a third consecutive Premier League title.

When Man City won, Arsenal dropped 0-3 to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Earlier this month, Mikel Arteta said Arsenal were "not satisfied with second place", but at this stage of the proceedings that seems more likely than ever.

With City on 85 points, talkSPORT hosts wondered if the Premier League was too similar to Spain's Bundesliga or La Liga in terms of lack of competition.  "How are #PL?"

"Is there a risk that the Premier League will become the new Bundesliga?"

In last night's reaction to Arsenal's defeat on radio, the conversation led to the question of whether the Premier League is becoming too much of a one-horse race.

"It's almost impossible to compete with Manchester City in a 38-game season," said Alex Crook.

“Is that good for the Premier League? Because it will be Man City's third title in a row.

"Though they started the season relatively slow by their standards."

He then went on to praise this season's signed striker Erling Haaland. scammer says:

"They have Erling Haaland who is going to break all scoring records under the sun. Is there a risk that the Premier League is close to becoming the new Bundesliga?

“Or the new Liga? You know where one team dominates and wins season after season? He asks.

A snippet of Crook's thought process was posted via Twitter and football fans have had their say on the Bundesliga comparison.

One person wrote:

"Even if [Manchester] United win it every year, teams can still compete and don't have to be very rich to get it, plus United already do it through their academy and clubs. sets like Man City just used a cheat code and it completely destroyed the Premier League."

Another agreed and tweeted:

“I think the difference in the Premier League is that other teams have enough money to compete. "It's about investing and hiring the right way in a couple of years and someone else will win the title race."

However, other fans disagree with Crook's statement and believe that the tournament will only become more competitive in the future.

One person wrote:

"So now that Manchester United don't win it every year, is that a problem?"

Another said:

"Yes [not healthy?]?" Or when United won 13 out of 21? The right to take over is up to other clubs… It's not Man City's fault when Arsenal hold him back… It's not Man City's fault when Liverpool lose a seven-point lead.

The third user remained somewhat neutral and wrote:

"Neither healthy nor unhealthy, while Man City dominate, they bring in other top teams, Chelsea and Liverpool have won the Champions League in the meantime."

They added:

"Don't see Dortmund or Leipzig winning the [Champions League] any time soon."
