DC2 has transformed a totally decent Volvo XC90 into the bizarre rough terrain driver you see here.
DC2, a coachbuilder based in India, has unveiled its most recent creation, a bizarre off-roader with Gullwing doors and Volvo XC90 foundations. Yes, that is what you meant: a sensible Swedish SUV serves as the model for this bizarre vehicle.
DC2 has left no trace of its Scandinavian roots, so you wouldn't even know. The vehicle is referred to as a DC2 Bespoke Design by the company, implying that it was created one-of-a-kind for a customer with, well, distinct preferences.
A massive radiator grille with red accents dominates the front end. The large mesh pattern is a clever way to hide the headlights and what appear to be the turn signals. A clamshell hood extends right down to the made-right wheel curves, which house dark and red wheels enveloped by stout off-road elastic.
It's easy to mistake this custom creation for a pickup truck from the front, but that's not the case. The roadster-esque back sash is, maybe, more effective than the front treatment. A Porsche-style light bar extends across the back guard, but it is eclipsed by the huge back vent that reflects the front grille. Two square exhaust pipes are arranged in the middle and lend the vehicle some donning style.
Obviously, the gullwing entryways are the most attractive part of the vehicle. It's surely an intriguing creation, and nobody would have the option to oppose turning their head to draw a closer look. It has a lot in common with the legendary Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution MPR12, which dominated the Dakar Rally in the early 2000s.
Maybe the side windows can't be moved up or down. Look carefully, and you'll see a little sliding vent in the side glass. Even though the exterior is utilitarian, the interior is decidedly plush and luxurious, with the same restrained design as a standard Volvo.
However, DC2's creation features leather accents in orange and red, adding funky colors to the design. Dissimilar to the contributor vehicle, there are only four seats in the lodge. However, Volvo also offers the Excellence, a four-seater version of the XC90.
Gaze toward the main event of this wild form and the side decorations, and you'll see the enlightened cowhide pockets. This places one at the top of the priority list for a personal luxury plane. Despite being in contrast to the rugged exterior, it is without a doubt the vehicle's best feature.
DC2's creation comes very close to being the most bizarre custom car we have ever seen. The organization makes no mention of cost or accessibility. Assuming you need one for reasons unknown, simply remember: a completely beautiful XC90 should make a definitive penance.
