The Tamiya Wild One radio-controlled vehicle that was first delivered in quite a while has been changed into a drivable electric vehicle called the Tamiya Wild One MAX Send-Off Release by The Little Vehicle Organization. This time, The Little Car Company has scaled up an 80s icon, in contrast to its usual focus on producing miniaturized versions of the greatest sports cars in history.

While it will not supplant your Tesla Model 3 as your day-to-day driver, it seems as though there is probably as much fun as one can have in an EV. We have previously complained that electric vehicles are almost too perfect to be truly enjoyable.

With an impressive ground clearance and a featherweight weight of approximately 1,100 pounds, the One MAX Launch Edition is the antithesis of heavy, sanitized, and technology-laden electric vehicles.

The Little Car Company has improved the small off-roader in a number of ways since the project was first announced.

The One MAX is presently bigger at 141.7 inches long and 74.8 inches wide, up from 137.8 inches and 70.8 inches, separately, for a prior variant of the vehicle. The cockpit now comfortably accommodates two people, as requested by customers, as a result of the increased width.

The Send Off Release has approach/breakover/flight points of 34.1/28.4/50.8 degrees, separately, and ground freedom depends on 10.6 inches—nearly as much as a Wrangler Rubicon. There will also be an option for a windshield and wiper mechanism. A more sophisticated double-wishbone front suspension design and smoother front suspension turrets are two additional enhancements.

Eight removable battery packs determine the send-off release, and these have a complete limit of 14.4 kWh. Even though the top speed is only about 60 mph, it is faster than you would need to go to have fun in the great outdoors while most of the time you are outside in the elements. Cobra bucket seats with four-point harnesses, a five-inch digital screen, Brembo disc brakes, and Bilstein dampers with Eibach springs are expected in the Launch Edition. The EV's dirt-road capabilities are enhanced by Maxxis' 14-inch off-road tires.

The Launch Edition will include a road legal pack in the UK and the EU, an additional option requested by the vast majority of customers.

Ben Hedly, CEO of The Little Car Company, stated, "We are absolutely thrilled to be one step closer to revealing our Tamiya Wild One MAX Edition." Our team has done a fantastic job of bringing an R/C car to life at full size, and I couldn't be prouder of them, despite the fact that there have undoubtedly been a few obstacles along the way due to issues with industry-wide supply."

The most recent Wild One MAX Launch Edition exemplifies a viewpoint shared by many gearheads: It's fun to drive even slower cars. Hedly says that the One MAX is "a perfect example of not requiring 500 horsepower to make an enjoyable drivers' car" and is proud of the fact that it does not rely on "brain-scrambling acceleration."

In recent years, The Little Car Company has made significant progress and earned the respect of some of the most prestigious automakers in the world. Bugatti requested that Hedly assist it with planning a cutting-edge Child Bugatti, while the organization has likewise delivered downscaled variants of Ferraris and Aston Martins. In any case, the Tamiya Wild One MAX Send-Off Version exhibits that an extravagant identification on the button isn't important to fabricate something lovers can become amped up for.

Following additional performance and durability testing, deliveries of the Launch Edition, which will be limited to 100 examples, will begin early next year.
