John Dramani Mahama, the candidate for the National Democratic Congress, has charged Ghanaians to hold him responsible if, if he wins the 2024 elections, he does not carry out his pledges to them.

He urged Ghanaians to support his presidential campaign and expressed confidence that he would be able to keep all of his commitments.

When speaking to party members after his ceremonial acceptance speech event in Tamale, the NDC flag bearer made this statement.

The future NDC administration, according to Mr. Mahama, would bring back economic stability, promote inclusive growth, and revitalize the nearly bankrupt financial and banking industries. He also stated that this administration will include the Bank of Ghana.

In order to create employment, he said, the party places a high priority on local involvement in all areas of the economy.

To create more jobs for young people, he advised prioritizing local involvement in the banking, finance, telecommunications, mining, oil and gas, agricultural, manufacturing, and construction sectors.

The NDC presidential candidate stated that the country's ongoing and abandoned projects would be finished by the party's subsequent administration.

He said, "We will make yearly financial allocations for finishing them. We will take inventory of all hospitals, schools, electricity, water, and road projects that have stopped or been abandoned.

With no more than 60 ministers and deputies, Mr. Mahama promised to manage a small but effective administration. He also stated that they would try to end the practice of ex-gratia payments.

He also pledged to establish a Commission of Enquiry to look into the issue of stolen state lands and offer suggestions on how to deal with the complex problem of expropriated Ga-Dangbe territories.

Mr. Mahama, who expressed worries about the country's lack of free expression, promised to establish a supportive environment where the media could operate without fear of harassment, threats, or murder.

He urged Ghanaians to vote for the NDC to take power in 2024, saying that the NDC delegates had led the way by choosing him with an overwhelming 99% of legitimate votes cast, which is evidence of their belief in his abilities to offer honest, visionary, and responsible leadership.
