The newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer John Dramani Mahama said he has
 the experience and vision to reset the country and put it back onthe path of progress.

He said that he is ready to give a leader who will change the situation in the country, adding that at this very important timewhen things are not good, it is not necessary to try with the leaders of the country. Mr.Mahama said this while speaking in Tamale to accept his nomination as the NDC presidential candidate for the 2024 general election.

The event was attended by the leaders of the NDC, including its president, its secretary general, who will be the vice president
 of the NDC for the year 2020, the minority leaderin parliament, the wife of Mr. Mahama and some of her relatives, along with others. On Saturday May 13, Mr. Mahama in the NDC presidential primaries won 297,603 votes representing 98.9% of the total votes cast leading the opposition as the presidential candidate in the 2024 general election.

Mahama
 accused the current government of managing the poor economy which has caused hardship to the people, and reiterated the need for the NDC, supporters and citizens to vote for him to win the election.2024 to bring the country back to the path of prosperity and progress. . He said his visit tothe country revealed manychallenges and promised to ensure the proper management of the economy, provideinfrastructure and restore confidence in the economy.


At the time of
 his resounding victory in the presidential election, he said it was a sign from the NDC to win the 2024 general election and thanked the delegates and members of the party for believing in him. The NDC presidential candidate said "I believe that I will lead you to a resounding victory in 2024" as he commended his rivals in the NDC presidential primaries for their performance in the race.

Mahama told
 the NDC MPs,who lost their positions in the parliamentary elections, to continue to use their experience for the party, and called on the party members to use their resources to give back to themselves and the party to win. notification. He said: "Wewill work hard," adding that thecampaign will be made to spread where branches will be given the ability to create goalsand achieve them.

He went on to thank the election officials for ensuring that the election will be successful.
