After an easy 3-0 victory at Leicester, Jurgen Klopp promised Liverpool will keep up the pressure in the fight for the Champions League.

With the Foxes moving closer to the bottom three, Curtis Jones' quick-fire double and Trent Alexander-Arnold's spectacular goal kept their chase for the top four alive.

With two games remaining and a trip to Newcastle on Monday, Premier League safety is two points away for second-place Leicester.

With a win, Liverpool will participate in Europe next year and will move up to fifth place, one point behind Manchester United and Newcastle, who have each played one fewer game.

As for Newcastle and Manchester United, Klopp stated, "Our job is to keep the pressure on them, but even if we don't, this is already better than we could have anticipated six or seven weeks ago."I'm unsure of what it means to us. We had Chelsea breathing down our necks four or five years ago, and they were consistently winning. The year we came in fourth and had to compete in qualification, I believe.Since they were continuously winning behind us, we had to win every game up to the very last one.If I'm being honest, I expect them to succeed just as we did.

However, it keeps you on your toes, and keeping them on their toes is our responsibility. Once we have done that, we will see what happens.Until six or seven weeks ago, I didn't think it was possible. At the time, consistency was something we lacked.

"We controlled it in a really convincing way, but the game never became the game it could have been, a real fight, challenges everywhere."

Jamie Vardy's early opportunity was thwarted by Alisson Becker, and Liverpool quickly gained the upper hand. Before halftime, Jones' double put an end to the game as a contest.

After 33 minutes, the midfielder scored the game's first goal by getting to the far post unnoticed and heading in a cross from Mohamed Salah.

He received another Salah pass three minutes later, turned, and blasted past Daniel Iversen from just inside the box.

Only Iversen's astute save prevented Cody Gakpo from making it 3-0 shortly after Leicester had surrendered.

Early in the second half, Harvey Barnes put Alisson to the test, but the Foxes offered little resistance, and Liverpool eventually won with ease.
